Intergalactic Is Definitely Out Of This World!
Intergalactic
I wanted something really pretty today. Alright so that is pretty much my criteria just about every day, but tonight I wanted it to be a bit different. I chose Kokie Intergalactic because the mix of blue and gold glitter in the bottle really grabbed my attention. I was pretty happy with my choice and got to painting my nails right away and realized quickly that Intergalactic was meant to be a glitter topper... I suppose I could have picked another polish that I could use as a base but what I wanted on my nails, was what i saw in the bottle. I don't settle, and there is no reason you should either. I decided to sponge on the glitter to maximize the sparkle. I prefer using makeup wedges when sponging on glitter. If you are new to it, it's quite simple. If you apply the polish to the sponge and give it a few seconds it will absorb a good portion of the base that the glitter is suspended in. You can now go ahead and sponge the glitter on your nails and this will give you a much denser glitter coverage. Since the sponge absorbs most of the base your polish is no where near as thick as it would have been had you painted on layer after layer of glitter. Keep in mind though that it is a good idea to use either liquid latex or some tape around your skin and cuticles or you will be picking glitter off the skin around your nails for a very long time. I sponged on two layers of Intergalactic. It was a little bit rough (but very glittery!) so I added two layers of top coat and that smoothed everything out perfectly. This combination of gold and blue glitter is stunning. The blue glitter seems to float on top of the gold. The formula was easy to work with and sponging it on removed most of the base so the dry time was incredibly fast. I am very grateful for a speedy manicure because Christmas is almost here and I still have so much to do. My nails are ready for the holidays, even if I'm not quite there yet. I wish you all the best and hope Santa is good to you. I will be taking a short break to spend some time with the kids and Mr. Nailvanna over the holidays and maybe even do a little polish shopping. I will be back January 3rd with a new post. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
