Let The Christmas Parties Begin!
Pure Ice Hit The Floor
You can't have Christmas without red glitter nails, at least not in Nailvanna land! Pure Ice Hit The Floor definitely channels the holiday spirit and it was a great way to start the week . It's a deep red glitter filled polish that I like very much and I spent a fair part of my day watching it glitter. It's similar to Ruby Pumps by China Glaze but the glitter is slightly larger, denser and the red is a little bit more rusty. Not quite a dupe but pretty close. The formula felt a touch gritty due to the glitter load and was a bit streaky on the first coat. I usually keep my coats thin but I decided to paint my second coat on a little bit thicker than I normally would. The polish went on much smoother and it gave me perfect coverage. Sometimes you just have to be a little more generous I guess. I gave my nails about ten minutes of dry time before I added top coat. Hit The Floor was well on the way to drying properly but it lacked gloss and was a bit textured. A layer of top coat fixed both of those issues quite easily. I would have added top coat either way so it really does not count as a problem for me. I was quite happy with the way my nails turned out and I chose not to add any nail art. Pure Ice is inexpensive and super accessible if you are anywhere near a Walmart as I believe only Walmart carries Pure Ice. The colour is suitable for any occasion from Christmas, to date night, or just every day wear if you love glitter. Removal was the only part that might hold someone back because the glitter takes a bit of patience to remove but if you have been reading my posts you know that I feel it is worth the work. Next time you are at Walmart I suggest picking up a bottle of Hit The Floor for yourself or as a stocking stuffer. You can't go wrong with this one!
