One of my co-workers was telling me she came across Nicole by OPI Sing You Like A Bee from the Carrie Underwood collection and she really liked it. She offered to lend it to me so I can check it out as well and since I do not own this one I was looking forward to trying it out. I love that I am surrounded by so many people that support my obsession. I found out very quickly that Sing You Like A Bee was not what I thought it was going to be. In the bottle it looks like a gold shimmer filled pearly cream. I was expecting it to be sheer and it is a bit but not terribly. I applied two coats and while my nail line remained visible it looked like it was supposed to be. It's one of those polishes that might have been meant for layering but opaque enough to wear on it's own. I found the formula a little bit on the thicker side but that's because its full of gold and white micro glitter in a clear base. It looked very gold on my nails and I am most definitely looking pink wearing it. I rarely do well with gold because my complexion is just too pale for it. It dried to a textured finish so I drowned it in top coat, three layers of it in fact. I don't usually mind the textured polishes but I was just not in the mood for the gritty feel so I decided to smooth it out. I felt like I was a bit all over the place with this one truth be told so let's clear things up. I was happy with the formula, even though it is a bit thick it was very easy to work with. I love the way it sparkles and that slight translucent quality makes it quite feminine. The only thing that threw me with Sing You Like A Bee was that I felt it did not work very well with my skin tone but I can't blame the polish for my lack of pigmentation. I can't wait to try this in the summer once I have a little more color. I think this polish has a lot of potential and would look great layered over other colors as well, not jut on it's own. If you come across it scoop it up, it's a great find.
