The Promise Of Spring

Gosh Frosted Soft Green

No amount of snow or ice can take away the promise of spring! Gosh Frosted Soft Green definitely helps me channel that. I want to forget about all the snow that has just fallen and the cold wind that chills to the bones. I live for the day that I notice buds starting on the trees and the grass begins to grow again. It's been overcast mostly as well adding to the winter effect so I decided to put cheery spring colors on my nails. I have really enjoyed wearing the textured Gosh polishes I found recently, and Frosted Soft Green goes nicely with the spring theme I am trying for. Besides, St. Patrick's day is not that far away and it's never too early to start looking for that perfect green! The formula was very user friendly and easy to work with. After I applied my first coat I allowed it to completely dry before adding the second one. I find I get the best results with textured polishes if I allow the first coat to dry. I didn't have to wait long between coats as it dries very quickly. The iridescent glitter works perfectly with the soft green and I had glittering matte nails that had a sandy feel to them.

Because I know textured polishes are not everyone's favorite, I also checked it out glossy. It took three layers of top coat to smooth out the polish but I found it was worth the effort. Once glossy the green has a beautiful golden glow to it. I could wear this all week and never get tired of looking at it. If you are still sitting on the fence about textures give them a try. You have nothing to lose because If it turns out that you don't enjoy the way they feel you can smooth it out with top coat and still have an awesome manicure!
