Purple Pixie Paradise!
Zoya Thea
I have been a bit short on time lately and I know I am not the only one. There is just so much to do during the holidays but that is no reason not to rock some killer polish. For today's post I chose Zoya Thea. It was released as part of Zoya Holiday 2014 Wishes collection and has been one of my go to polishes when I need a fast bling covered mani. Thea has an amethyst purple jelly base and is a textured polish from the Pixie Dust line, but it's not quite like the other textured Zoya polishes. Most of the Pixie Dust line has a gritty feel to it, almost like glittering sand, whereas Thea is more of a glitter filled jelly. It has a generous amount of holographic glitter and it's so easy to fall in love with, since the texture is not very prominent it's not irritating to wear. I recommend two to three coats for complete coverage depending on how thick your layers are. The formula is easy to work with and dries fairly fast. Shown above is three coats.
I have, despite my best efforts begun enjoying textured polishes. I find that I like Thea a lot more when it's glossy. It takes me a couple of layers of top coat to get that smooth as glass look. Top coat also brightens up the color of the jelly giving it an incredible jewel tone and the glitter just floats. Thea is perfect for a Christmas, or even as a New Years Eve fuss free manicure! Under florescent lights the holo glitter has a life of it's own. This is one of those polishes that I wear get complimented on constantly, every time I wear it, even Mr. Nailvanna notices. My very first bottle of Thea was a mini one. It didn't take me very long to go out and buy the full size bottle and I would recommend you do the same. Removing Thea will take a bit of patience because the glitter likes to cling to the nails but acetone will make quick work of it. This one is a keeper!
