Level Up Lacquer Half-Life

Level Up Lacquer caught my attention recently and I decided to get myself a bottle... or two but hey who is counting? I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly my order arrived (two weeks) especially since I noticed on my bottle it said Handmade in Alaska! I tried to keep my order size reasonable because apparently the kids made Santa's nice list and that means they will be getting presents. Who would have thought... I think there must have been a mix up because I recall seeing some pretty messy rooms every now and again. Half Life looked stunning in the bottle and I could not wait to get it on my nails. I found the formula to be a little bit thicker than I was expecting, but it gave me no issues whatsoever with the application. It's a Royal Purple Jelly polish with Copper/Red/Bronze Ultrachrome color change flakies. Lots and lots of flakies. I liked it just as much on my nails as I did in the bottle if not more. I applied two coats for opacity and after the first coat you could see the purple quite clearly but by the second coat it had darkened up to the point where the base looked closer to burgundy in some lights. I added a layer of glossy top coat and those flakies just seemed to be floating in my polish.

I thought copper would be a great choice of colour for stamping on Half-Life. I reached for Essie Leggy Legend and it works quite nicely. I was thrilled with the way my nails turned out. Mr. Nailvanna noticed my new nail polish, probably because the brand name is video game based. He thought that was very cool... at least we are both happy! You know what this means right? If your answer was get more Level Up Lacquer you are right. This game I can play!
