How To Look Good Naked!

L'Oreal Cafe De Nuit

L’Oréal Le Vernis à l’Huile Cafe De Nuit is an oil-based nail polish. It is made with four precious oils (rose, camellia seed, lotus flower and argan) all of which help to enhance the colour, depth and shine of this polish. Nude nails make for an understated yet gorgeous manicure but nude polish is not a one shade fits all and selecting the right shade can be challenging. I found I was quite happy with Cafe De Nuit, a soft tan color as it worked well on me with my complexion. A good nude polish should highlight your skin tone and provide you just a hint of contrast. The formula has a great, easy to use consistency that applied nice and even with a color saturation that was almost a one coater. The wide fan shaped flexi brush seems to have grown on me and allowed for quick and precise application. The first time I wore this oil infused line I was surprised by the scent from the oils that are in it but this time around I was expecting it. I'm pretty sensitive to perfumes and colognes so I make very careful and thought out decisions where scent is involved. I allowed time for my polish to dry (about 30 minutes) and I must have looked pretty silly sniffing my nails. I found Cafe De Nuit only slightly scented and it faded fairly quickly as my polish dried and I experienced no issues with it irritating me. If you are sensitive to scents just keep in mind that this one is scented and proceed accordingly. I applied two coats of polish for this picture.

Since Cafe De Nuit dried so nice and glossy I decided to stamp and matte it! I was looking for something classy but not quite plain. A little bit of stamping polish, a quick layer of matte top coat and I was ready. When you are not up for color or like me just cannot make up your mind on a color an understated manicure is the answer. If you are on the go with a limited amount of time, nude nails are also very forgiving and do not show tip wear or chips as easily as a bright color might so you have a longer wear time before you need a fresh manicure. Nude nails are a very popular choice for many women but there is no rule against adding a bit of fun to your nails with glitter toppers, stamping or free hand nail art if you have steady enough hands. It does not need to be perfect, it just needs to make you happy and I am very happy!
