Hallo-Wicked!
Zoya Amy
Zoya Amy has been on my list of Halloween must haves for the past couple of years and I recommend you try it out any time of the year really. It's a bright foil like red orange with a golden shimmer. The formula applies so nicely and is saturated enough that two coats is all you will need for coverage. It's one of those polishes that I live for! I love it when my nails just about glow in the sun. Amy will certainly draw attention to your nails or if you are like me you will spend way more time than any adult should admiring your nails. I have often thought that this color would look so good on a car! I am wearing two layers with top coat.
Who would matte a beauty like Amy? Yeah... about that...I don't know what happened. I got curious. I love glossy nails like crazy so when I caught myself lately reaching for the matte top coat I asked myself what is going on? Gorgeous nails that's what. You guys need to try this! This was the first time I applied a matte top coat on Amy but I doubt it will be the last. You just need to keep in mind that matte does chip faster than glossy. I don't mind chipping a nail... I will take any excuse to paint my nails. I spent the day wearing Amy matte and I received a ton of compliments. This is why I get so excited about playing with nail polish. It's so easy to take an old favorite and transform it into a new favorite!
Maybelline Black Dust
Maybelline Black Dust is black hex and micro glitter in a clear base along with some silver micro glitter. I wanted to try it out see if it added to the Halloween theme. The formula is easy to use but I did find that I had to try to manipulate the larger glitter pieces to get them evenly distributed. Typically I am not a huge fan of these kinds of matte glitters unless it's an accent nail. Maybe. It's definitely a preference though because my neighbor was positively loving them. It's certainly a fun little Halloween mani and I am glad I picked up Black Dust.
