I started out tonight with one of my go to base colors when it comes to playing around, OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. At first glance you may mistake this creme polish for a white but it is a very light grey. The formula is a touch on the runny side but since it levels fabulously you should not have any issues with it. The biggest problem you may have is finding it. It was released in 2012 as part of The Amazing Spider-man Collection and has become very hard to track down. If you come across it I would recommend picking it up. If you do find it be sure to let your nail art lover friends know where you found it so they can grab it too. Maybe we will get lucky and OPI will re-release it one day. I applied two coats with top coat on my nails and you can see it's a basic clean look. I have worn it on it's own before and it's a very wearable and appealing neutral. Tonight I had other plans though so once I was finished my base I gave my nails 30 minutes to dry just in case my stamper and I didn't get along. I'm not an expert when it comes to this art but I do appreciate how awesome it can look, so every once in a while I give it a go.

Stamping can be so much fun! I am very happy with the way my nails turned out. It reminds me of the Chinese blue and white porcelain pottery. The image plate I used has no markings on it so I can't tell you who makes it or where it came from but there are so many cool mandala type patterns out there that finding something close should be very easy. Plummet worked well as a stamper for me. I started with my little finger so you can see that one is the weakest of them all. The more nails I did the better it turned out. I have a lot to learn about getting clean lines but perfect is not always better. Since I do not devote a huge deal of time to stamping the learning curve takes a bit. It's a great way to get pretty designs on nails for those of us that do not have steady hands for free hand nail art. My daughter is loving it as well. I stamped all her digits and was going to take a picture but I did her manicure first. By the time mine was done hers was a mess because waiting is boring so she got into her craft supplies. Next time I'll take a picture first!
