Cover Girl Leading Lady

Cover Girl Leading Lady was an unexpected surprise. I have not played with very many of the Cover Girl nail polishes because the ones I have tried honestly just were not very good and really put me off. I couldn't help but feel that they were not all that passionate about their polishes and it was more of an afterthought which struck me as being very strange considering that cover girl has been a beauty icon for decades. Leading Lady has me wanting to take another look at these polishes and reconsider my opinion. I found the color stunning. Leading Lady was a very rich purple that I was in love with from the first stroke. The formula was perfect. It applied smooth and there wasn't the slightest hint of bubbles as I let it dry. The color saturation is excellent as well. I could have gotten away with just one coat if I was not so fussy, but I am so in the picture I am wearing two coats with top coat. Even before top coat though I can tell you that this polish dries nice and glossy. If you choose to skip top coat no one would be the wiser it's that shiny. I received this polish ages ago from a friend and truly wish I had tried it out sooner it definitely would have changed my opinion of Cover Girl polishes. I am glad that I finally put it on and I am hoping my next cover girl polish doesn't disappoint!

L'Oreal Pink Party Dress

L'Oreal Pink Party Dress seemed like a perfect topper for Leading Lady. I have been waiting for an opportunity to test this glitter out but have not come across a polish that I felt it went well with until today. Gorgeous multi sized fuchsia glitter suspended in a clear base. I only applied one coat so as you can tell from the picture the glitter load is very generous. I'm loving this combination. I did add top coat to smooth things out a little but Pink Party Dress is a pretty thin glitter so it doesn't leave a very rough finish. I just prefer the way it looks with top coat and it also protects my mani! Both Cover Girl and L'Oreal were a hit for me. I love it when my expectations are exceeded.
