Happy Monday my friends. I don't know about you but I sure could have used an extra day this weekend. I am not sure if it's the spring daylight savings time that threw me for a loop but I spent a good part of today day dreaming about curling up on the couch for a nap. I did have a great day with polish though and that definitely puts a little bounce in my step. This week Thursday, March 17th is St. Patrick's Day. I thought it may be fun to spend the days leading up to it showing you a few green nail polishes. I decided to start out with a sparkly chartreuse color from Revlon - Tantalize. Photographing this polish was very challenging. The glitter is very sparkly, so the smallest bit of light creates a blinding ... something. It's bright okay? In sunlight it's flat out ridiculous. Make sure you have sunglasses ready! The formula is a bit thin and it is a pretty sheer polish so I had to use three coats for opacity but the results are gorgeous. I hope you are all sitting down because I am about to tell you something I have been preaching against to you non stop. I skipped top coat... True story. Revlon brilliant strength line of polishes are advertised to have a built in top and base coat so I wanted to play around a little and test it. It did alright but I found that without my fast drying top coat I had to wait FOREVER for my nails to dry... ain't nobody got time for that! I also missed the gloss you get from a good top coat, but since Tantalize is pretty much a foil I could live with it as is. I still used a base coat... nothing will stop me from that. I have another good one lined up for you tomorrow! Make sure you check back in and if you have a St. Patrick's day themed polish you love make sure you tag me on IG @Nailvanna to show me!
