Sink Or Swim?
So here we are on day three of the OPI New Orleans collection Part 3. If you have not checked out New Orleans Part 1 and New Orleans Part 2 yet then now might be a good time to take a moment and just click on the links above. My experience so far has been mostly great, much better then I was expecting from a mostly creme collection. I am disappointed that OPI didn't include any dedicated glitter polishes or even a couple of toppers, I am sure that with a 12 bottle collection they could have at least added a few. Overall I have to say I was happy with the collection. I know a good polish when it comes my way and although I wore most of these nude I still enjoyed them.
OPI Crawfishin' For A Compliment
Crawfishin' For A Compliment is a peachy orange creme. I'm sure if I was not so pale it would look much nicer on me. It's a soft and pretty shade for the spring/summer but the formula was not my favorite. Took three coats to cover the streaks this is a normal issue for many light shades and did not level as well as the other polishes in this collection. If you love the color though I encourage you to go for it and have some fun.
OPI I'm Sooo Swamped
I'm Sooo Swamped is a fresh and bright creamy green that is lively and perfect for spring. This color makes me think fresh buds and grass...and toxic goo. That last one has nothing to do with spring but it did just pop in my head. I love spring. The formula was bloody perfect! I was tempted to skip top coat.... but I didn't. Two easy coats of I'm Sooo Swamped was all I needed for perfect coverage. If you love green like I do then you NEED this polish.
Let Me Bayou A Drink
Let Me Bayou A Drink is a really pale pink with a shimmer in the sunlight. It is sheer so I needed to use three coats to reach opacity and top coat. There are so many pale pinks out there that I feel Let Me Bayou a Drink brings nothing special to the table. Indoors you cannot see the shimmer. I don't think I will be getting a lot of wear out of this polish.
