The Fast And The Luxurious!
Sally Hansen Cherry Fast I love a good sold creme polish! Sally Hansen Cherry Fast is one of those easy to love polishes. A gorgeous magenta that I have used several times as a stamping polish with a lot of success but this was the first time I used it as a solid color on my nails. The Insta-Dri line is advertised as a one coater but I find it does not always work out that way. I can get Cherry Fast opaque in one coat but because the formula is a little bit thicker and it doe

This Polish Looks As Good As It Sounds!
Kokie Creme Brule Happy Friday! How about something light and easy on the eyes? That's how I felt about Kokie Creme Brule. When it comes to neutrals it's best to choose a color that will compliment your skin tone. That is usually easier said, than done. Creme Brule was not quite the right shade of neutral for me, so my skin looked a little pink. Give me a couple of months into summer and it will be the perfect shade on me! This cream formula was a little bit thinner than the

A Pleasant Unexpected Surprise!
Sally Hansen Let's Get Digital I saw Sally Hansen Let's Get Digital a few weeks ago when lil' Miss Nailvanna was waiving it at me. We were in a bit of a hurry and I had promised myself no more nail polish until I get to a few more of my untried polishes at home. I did pick it up though the next time I came across it because it looked so pretty in the bottle. I thought it might just make a great color for spring. The first swipe told me that this was not the type of polish I w

GOOOOOOOOOOOLD!!!!!!
Sally Hansen Go For Gold I have used Sally Hansen Go For Gold a number of times as a stamping polish, and I felt it was time to try it out on it's own. It has a great formula, and the wider brush that the Insta-Dri line has makes for a nice and clean application. If you colour outside of the lines with this one the clean up will be a bit tricky. Those super fine gold particles cling to the skin (yes I am speaking from experience). I really like this medium shade of gold, no

"A Real Actual Gem"
Sally Hansen Save The Date Sally Hansen has some great polish. Occasionally I come across a color that surpasses all my expectations. Save The Date is definitely one of those knock out colors. When I pulled it out I expected a burgundy that might make a pretty base for stamping. I applied the first coat and right away I could see that this polish had more depth to it than I was expecting. The second coat cemented that conclusion as I watched the magenta and purple shimmer giv

Inner Fire!
Sally Hansen Ablazing! Sally Hansen Ablazing! from the Insta-dri line is a pretty burnt orange color with a hint of gold shimmer. The shimmer is more prominent in the bottle than on the nails but is somewhat visible. Even though the Insta-dri line is advertised as a one coat nail polish that is formulated with a base and top coat for extended wear I never skip either. I applied it over my regular base coat but found that one coat was not sufficient so I applied a second befo

Sally Hansen takes the chill out of Fall with Cocoa!
Sally Hansen Cocoa A Go Go Now that October is here; Fall is in full swing! My kids are already trying to make up their minds about Halloween costumes and we are only just a few days into the month. It's been a bit chilly lately and nothing is quite as delicious as wrapping your hands around a cup of hot cocoa to warm up. Sally Hansen Cocoa A Go Go is a rich chocolate brown shimmer that is perfect for the season. The formula has a nice consistency but does tend to show your b

Timeless Beauty!
OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls I started out tonight with one of my go to base colors when it comes to playing around, OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. At first glance you may mistake this creme polish for a white but it is a very light grey. The formula is a touch on the runny side but since it levels fabulously you should not have any issues with it. The biggest problem you may have is finding it. It was released in 2012 as part of The Amazing Spider-man Collection and has bec

This Polish Gets My Stamp Of Approval!
Sally Hansen Plummet Sally Hansen Plummet is a deep purple creme that I picked up because I wanted to try stamping with it. I tend to be a bit of a purist at times when it comes to nail color but once in a while I go on a kick where I want to play. I have several bottles of the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri line and I find that they tend to be very pigmented and work well for stamping. Usually polishes that are sold specifically for the purpose of stamping tend to be a bit pricey. F

Redefining Red!
Essie Shall We Chalet? I wanted red... picking one was a bit daunting. Forget Fifty Shades of Grey, we have Fifty Shades Of Red going on at Nailvanna land. Essie Shall We Chalet? was the winner from the line up of reds I was considering for today's manicure because it leans blue. There is nothing more classic than glossy red nails and it can be the perfect finishing touch to just about any outfit. I had someone tell me once that they did not wear red polish because it alway
