Champagne Supernova!
Essence On Air! I have tried a number of polishes from Essence but all of them so far, have been cremes. When I came across On Air! last week I had to have it. A champagne gold glitter that I was very excited to try. This was opaque in just two coats and while my initial thought when I spotted it was that this might make a pretty topper, I found that the glitter is a bit too densely packed for that. It has an easy to apply formula that dried quickly, to a smooth finish. Jus

Feeling Lucky!
Essence Lucky Happy Monday! But at east you made it through it! That's how I feel at the start if each week. When I glanced at my calendar I reallized that Valentines day is next week. I have been so busy that I had not really given it much thought but I am about to remedy that. I decided to begin the week wih Essence #Lucky a gorgeous shade of bubble gum pink. The formula just glides on your nails and has a squishy quality that helps camouflage any imperfections like ridges

Pastel Pink!
Essence Be Awesome Tonight! Wouldn't it be nice if weekends could last just a little longer? I had a very nice and quiet one which I am grateful for. I wanted to keep things nice and light so I chose Essence Be Awesome Tonight! A very pretty light pink that claimed compliments from both Mr. Nailvanna and Miss. Nailvanna while I was still painting my nails. All I could think of as I looked at this color was strawberry ice cream. With these types of light cream pinks the first

The Name Sucks But This Polish Is Amazing!
Essence Feels Like Birthday I was sold on Essence Feels Like Birthday when I spied the "I'm New" sticker. I loved the formula of the previous Essence polishes that I tried and I have been keeping a close eye out for any new colors that pop up. It's one of my favorite drug store brands. Feels Like Birthday is a rich magenta creme with a great formula and opacity perfect for the fall to winter transition. I applied two easy coats and followed it up with a layer of top coat. A g

Matte Or Glossy Va-Va-Voom Has You Covered!
Essence Va-Va-Voom I was curious to see what Essence Va-Va-Voom meant by the soft matte sticker on the cap. I applied two easy layers and sat back and allowed it to dry. I took my first picture for you without any top coat so you can see the soft matte finish. This formula is easy to work with and I'm continuously surprised by how such a little bottle can pack such a strong punch. It has a wide brush that is just fantastic, and isn't awkward to work with. I'm not a fan of the

Fall skies, you can almost smell the wood-smoke!
Essence Jeans On! Essence Jeans On! from the no UV light required gel line is a greyish denim blue that I picked up because it has the "I'm new" sticker on it. I like new! Especially new nail polish. I have liked the other Essence polishes I have tried so far and because of that I was looking forward to painting my nails with Jeans On! Just to be on the safe side I doubled up on base coat because I have no desire to stain my nails blue again. To be clear I have no reason to a

Just The Tips!
Essence Fame Fatal I love the time in between seasons where it seems to be a free for all. Anything goes really in the nail polish world because the hype from the passing seasons colors is fading and it feels a little too early to fully jump into fall so we linger and play. Essence Fame Fatal turned up in a purse I had not used in a while. I must admit I did pause and scold myself a little because no matter now many bottles of nail polish I have it's not like me to do somethi

Criminal Mind!
Essence 138 OK girls... today I am going to confess to a hideous crime. I am very sorry for my actions and promise never to do it again... No my fingers are not crossed... not all of them anyway. Pictured above is Essence 138 L.O.L. My daughter received this in a makeup kit for Christmas and since she takes my stuff all the time I figured it was my turn! I own a few other polishes by Essence and I have liked the ones I have tried in the past but they were all glitter toppe
